Dear Mr. Cowell,

Can you please do something to bring my case to its concluding

point without further delay ? Day after day and month after month I watch for

the postman and although it is now nine months since I retired, and over a year

since the date of my vacancy was known, my case is apparently allowed to drift.

I have already lost about 20. in solicitor's fees for arranging a mortgage, which

would not have been necessary if my lump sum had been available when due

considerable sum to one of my slender resources. I want specialised medical,

dental and optical treatment; then I have the rates, current expenses etc.

had to support my Father for the past 30 years I have not been able to save. I feel

bound to say it seems a heartless way to treat a poor sick old man.
